Jack Belcher signs a one year deal!

Plymouth Albion are thrilled to announce the signing of 19-year-old Jack Belcher from London Irish!

The number eight has signed a one-year deal and is another strong addition to an already talented squad.

Jack kindly spoke to us about what attracted him to the club and what sort of player supporters will get to see at Brickfields

‘My contract had just expired with London Irish, so my agent was looking around and he said that he found a really good opportunity for me in National League One with quite an ambitious squad and that’s how they came across really. It was just a matter of days till I was in talks, it was basically a no brainer to join a club with great ambitions.

This team is more than just a steady Nat 1 club that are just fighting to stay at that level and trying to get a bit of profit, it is a very ambitious team that in the next couple of years want to be fighting in the Championship, not just trying to stay up but becoming a steady championship team. As a young player, it is a great thing to build a career off and maybe stay here for a long period of time.

I’m a very hard ball carrier, Back Row. I’m not afraid to make any tackles and always looking for the extra few metres going forward. Just making sure I carry hard, 100% commitment just offering a lot putting other teams on the back foot and putting us on the front foot.

I just can’t wait to get out there and meet the supporters, I’ve heard a lot of good things about them’.

We can’t wait to see Belcher in action once the season finally gets underway.

Welcome to Albi Jack!
