R.I.P Jack

John Hobbs, known to all as Jack sadly passed away on 25th April 2021 at the age of 81. Jack played in the back row for Albion during the 1960s and continued to support the club after his playing days were over, attending many home fixtures. His funeral is this Friday, 14th May, where his Coffin will be draped with a Plymouth Albion signed Shirt, together with Flowers in the shape of a Rugby Ball in Albion colours. Our thoughts are with his Wife and Family at this sad time.

Plymouth Albion issue all welcome message for club open day at Brickfields

History records the character and nature of the ‘Roaring 20s’ the ‘Swinging 60s’ and the ‘Naughty 90s’. From ancient times, every era has its own mood, events and elements unique to its own time. Grandparents look back through ‘rose coloured glasses’ recalling the fellowship, unity of purpose and comradery of us Brits during the war years. It very much looks like history will record our time as the ‘Covid Era.’ It seems like an eternity that we were able to indulge in the luxury of travel, association and the freedom we took for granted before the constraints of masks, social...
