About the Team

Established in 1993, Plymouth Albion Ladies play within the Championship South West 2. As league runners up in 2013-14 and with key player retirements and injuries in 2014-15 & 2015-16, the Ladies are now looking for promotion in the 2016-17 season. With all the changes at Plymouth Albion and within the Ladies coaching team Plymouth Albion Ladies are looking forward to the exciting times are ahead. With the launch of the development side ‘The Barracudas” the club is now able to cater for all comers over the age of 18 and ensure the future of the club.

Promotion to Championship South

Following the restructure of the Women’s Rugby League and the introduction of Women’s Super-Ruby, Plymouth Albion Ladies have been promoted to Championship South. The Ladies side finished second in the South West Two, missing out on the top spot by just a point. We will now play one league below the Super League in Championship South alongside a Championship North league. The other teams in our league are Thurrock, Trojans, Cheltenham Tigers, Henley, Blackheath and Bath. Along side league fixtures the Ladies will also be competing in the Women’s Senior Cup

The ladies play their home matches at Plymouth Brickfields on Sundays. For upcoming  fixtures and friendlies please check out the fixtures page. They train every Tuesday from 7pm until 9pm, with new players always welcome, from complete starter to seasoned players.
