Albion supporters will be pleased to hear that popular scrum-half Cameron Setter has put pen to paper to sign for Plymouth Albion for the 2018/19 season.
Head coach Kieran Hallett says: “I’m delighted that we have been able to re-sign Cam. He is a very important part of our squad and his experience has proved invaluable, particularly since Dan Mugford has been injured.”
Setter has faced competition from dual registered Exeter player Joe Snow this season, but Hallett believes this has helped the 24-year-old: “The competition for the number nine shirt has been beneficial for Cam and, as a result, I believe he is producing some of his best rugby since his broken leg. I’m looking forward to seeing that continue next season.”
Setter joins recent signings prop Luke Chapman and full-back Jordan Gott, who have agreed one-year contracts, and longer-term signings John Kelly, George Mills, Dan Pullinger, Seta Raumakita, Matthew Shepherd, Herbie Stupple and Dan Williams on next season’s squad list.
Further squad news is expected from the club next week.
