Plymouth Albion head coach James Shanahan has strengthened his squad by signing back five forward Dan Williams.
Williams is likely to go straight into the Albion squad for this weekends game at London Welsh.
24 year old Williams was educated locally at Ivybridge Community College and on leaving school joined the Gloucester Academy.
Whilst at Gloucester Williams was loaned out to Moseley and played for the Midlanders in the 2009 EDF National Trophy Final.
Williams had a spell at London Welsh before joining US Colomiers, who play in second division of the French pro 12.
Game time in France was restricted by injury and Williams was released at the end of last season.
Williams has been training with Albion for the last 6 weeks and has been playing for Newton Abbot.
Commenting on the signing of Williams Shanahan said, “Dan has experience of Championship rugby and he has an edge about him. He is versatile and can play in the second row and the back row. He is a good line out forward and has been training well with us.
“We have a few bumps and bruises at present and Dan will be a good addition to our squad.”
