Plymouth Albion are pleased to announce that three of this seasons squad have signed new
Canadian international lock Brett Beukeboom, flanker Rob Langley and centre Toby Howley-Berridge have all put pen to paper on new one year deals, with the option of a second season.
Speaking about the signings Albion head coach James Shanahan said, “I have been massively impressed by all three players this season. Brett Beukeboom has really stepped up this year and has become a real leader on the field.
“Rob Langley has probably been our most consistent player this season while Toby Howley-Berridge has worked very hard to improve his game.”
Shanahan added, “I want to retain the key players and keep the core of this seasons squad together. These are the first new contracts to be announced and there will be more in the next few weeks.”
One player who won’t be at Albion next season is centre Heath Stevens who has accepted an offer to join Worcester Warriors.
Shanahan commented, “While it is disappointing to lose Heath it is a great opportunity for him and we wish him well. He has done brilliantly for us this season and has surprised me with how quickly he has developed.”
