Paddy marsh accepts role as press officer at plymouth albion

Plymouth Albion RFC Limited is delighted to announce the appointment of Paddy Marsh as Official Press Officer. Paddy, who has recently retired as Head teacher of Widey Court, one of Plymouth’s largest primary schools, has had a long association with the club. Paddy played for Albion over a 15 year period, then following his playing days helped the club  on a voluntary basis in several areas. Paddy has also been the Plymouth Albion correspondent for many years with the Independent Newspaper.  Paddy has accepted the role on a voluntarily basis with the Club.

Graham Stirling, Plymouth Albion Chairman, said “We are delighted that following Paddy’s recent retirement from a demanding full-time educational role that he is able to accept our invitation to be the Club’s Press Officer. We could not have found anyone better, Paddy knows the club as well as the personalities involved and has always been most supportive.  He has a real passion for Albion so it’s great to have him on board.  We all look forward to working closely with him”.

Working closely with Paddy Marsh will be particularly relevant for Louise Uncles, Sales and Marketing Director at Albion.  Louise who herself has a long history of working at Plymouth Albion is known as being the stalwart who has seen the club through some tough times.  The responsibility of liaising with the Press has fallen to Louise on top of all of her other duties.  “I personally will welcome the help and support Paddy will bring to the Club in his new role as Press Officer.  Working with Paddy will mean that the Club will get accurate information out to the wider media more efficiently and faster than ever before – this can only be positive news for our supporters and followers”.
