‘Could Albion make it three from three?’ was question all the fans were asking before the game and Albion certainly responded with a crucial win to boost them another place up the National 1 table heading in to the new year, meaning they now sit at mid table. Albion Visit Children’s Ward at Derriford

Players from Plymouth Albion RFC’s First Team squad delivered some early festive cheer to the children and their families in hospital on Thursday 20th December 2018. The players visited the Children’s Ward at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth in the hope of putting a smile on the faces of the children and their parents. Head Coach Kieran Hallett was joined by Dan Mugford, Dan Collier, Dean Squire, John Kelly and Teegan Minkley on the visit. Lipson Co-operative Academy – READy for Rugby

READy for Rugby with Lipson Co-operative Academy This term, a group of students from Lipson Co-operative Academy who are enthusiastic sports fans have been taking part in a pioneering literacy project with Plymouth Albion Rugby Club. READy for Rugby combines an interest in competitive sport with reading and literacy learning. Whilst these students are young – they are only 11 to 13 years of age – they have approached the project with determination and made excellent progress.

Albion partner with Marjon University

Plymouth Albion are now running a high performance programme in partnership with Marjon University which allows male & female rugby players to achieve their athletic potential. Through a network of support staff and coaches we aim to develop their skill set and create rounded athletes, all of which can be done whilst studying and receiving a genuine Marjon University experience. The set up is already providing valuable experience and game time, with the first Plymouth Albion Development team game being played on the 3rd December 2018, of which several Marjon University students were chosen to play.

Albion were back on the road following their win against Sale FC at Brickfields last week, with a difficult looking trip to Loughborough Students. The students have consistently scored highly at home and away with varied results, but Albion made the trip up the M42 with a desire to stem the flow.
