The Latest news on the Albion Internationals

Several members of the 2013/14 squad are with their respective international sides this week.

It began with Brett Beukeboom representing Canada in the Pacific Nations Cup. After Starting in the 16-9 win against USA, Beukeboom was not involved in the win against Fiji. However he returned to the starting line-up to feature in the side that beat Tonga 27-36 in Kingston, Tonga on Saturday. Canada now face Ireland in what is expected to be a sell-out at BMO Field, Toronto on 15th June.

Albion had another player on show last week in the Canada Fiji game in the shape of Sam Matavesi. Coming on as a replacement in the 54th minute to win his first international cap, Sam ran onto the field to face two former Albion players Aaron Carpenter and Tyler Hotson. Canada eventually running out winners 20-18 in Ottawa.

On international duty this week is Heath Stevens. Selected for the England Counties tour of Belgium, the England side will face a Belgium President’s Select XV in Brussels on Wednesday 12th June before taking on the national side in Tubize on Sunday 16th June.

New signing Tom Harrison is also currently overseas. He is currently in New Zealand training with the New Zealand All Blacks forwards coach. His 3 month spell in New Zealand is obviously a huge honour for Tom as attendance is on invitation only.
