Plymouth Albion are pleased to announce that two more players from the present squad have signed contracts to play for the club next season.

25 year old back five forward Ien Ascroft-Leigh and 22 year old winger Lewis Warner have signed one year extensions to their current contracts.

Ascroft-Leigh moved to Albion from National 1 side Cambridge last summer and has so far made 10 Championship appearances for the club.

As well as playing for Albion, Ascroft-Leigh has been helping out with the coaching at Plymouth University.

Warner who has made 14 league appearances this season joined Albion last and this is currently on a part time contract so that he could start a Masters degree course.

Warner has now signed a full time contract and is putting his studies on hold as his rugby career starts to take off.

Albion CEO Debbie Fisher commenting on the signings said, “Both Ien and Lewis have made great progress this season and we see them as players of real potential.

Ien and Lewis have fitted in very well at Albion and another season of Championship will help them further their playing careers.”
