Plymouth Albion were delighted to hear the news that Luke Cowan-Dickie and Henry Slade were selected for the senior England training squad ahead of the match against the Barbarians and the summer tour to New Zealand.

Cowan-Dickie and Plymouth College educated Slade both played for Albion while dual registered with Exeter Chiefs and follow the selection of another former dual registered player Jack Nowell, who this season gained his first five senior caps.

Luke Cowan-Dickie who is learning his trade as a hooker, having moved across from prop, played three Championship games for Albion this season.

The selection of all three by Stuart Lancaster, along with other Chiefs players Sam Hill and Dave Ewers, shows the real merits of the dual register arrangements with not only Plymouth Albion but also the Cornish Pirates.

Plymouth Albion send congratulations to all five Exeter Chiefs players who were selected by England this week.
