“Nothing changes’ according to Plymouth Albion Back Row George Mills, who marks his 100th appearance in the club’s National League One fixture against Cambridge at Brickfields on Saturday (2pm).
The 30-year old will share the milestone alongside John Kelly, who marks his 50th cap.
Mills says he is excited to run out to a home crowd alongside his teammates on this special occasion.
He said “It’s definitely a proud moment for me and I’m really excited to get out there.
“A lot of the guys have been here for the whole time that I’ve been playing at the club so it will be nice to have them on the pitch alongside me,” said Mills.
Brickfields will play host to Cambridge, who sit one place and three points ahead of Albion in the National League One table.
The game, due to having been played last weekend, was postponed in the midsts of Storm Dennis.
This week’s visitors will be eyeing up a second successive victory following their 37-31 win over Sale two weeks ago.
They came up second-best against Rosslyn Park one week prior, ending an impressive streak and marking their only loss of 2020.
Plymouth head coach James Scaysbrook has said that Albion will be looking to make amends following their losing performance against Blackheath.
The former Exeter Chief reflected on the disappointing 29-19 away loss to the London side.
He said: “Looking back, we saw that we were quite rushed in our play and that we didn’t respect certain aspects of our processes.
“It was a valuable learning experience for us. We have quite a young group and a young leadership group but it was still a frustrating result to take”.
With an unexpected extra week for preparation as a result of Storm Dennis, Scaysbrook insists that his side are eager to make an impression.
He said: “We were disappointed not to be able to play last weekend as we felt we were quite well prepared.
“It has given us a good opportunity as we’ve been given more time to prepare and make sure we’re really clear with our game plan.
“It was also good to be able to use the extended week to give the boys some well-deserved rest time after seven hard weeks,” said the head coach.
