On Monday 10 April, Albion will host the Howell Phillips Charity Match in support of a former PE teacher and coach who is currently battling cancer.
The game will kick-off at 7:30pm at Brickfields and entry will be by donation. The ground will open at 5:30pm. The charity match is in aid of Cancer Research UK, a charity which has been chosen by the Phillips family as one which they would like to support.
The game will be between a St Boniface Old Boys XV and a Phillips Select XV. St Boniface is a school where Howell taught many pupils and the opposition, Phillips XV, will be made up of players from the local clubs at which Howell had coached.
Howell coached several local teams during his career, such as Pymouth Argaum, Plympton Victoria and Old Plymothian and Mannamedian (also known as OPM). He was also Head Coach at Plympton Victoria until he started chemotherapy earlier this year.
There will be raffles and a charity auction on the evening. If you would like any more information, then you can ring us on 01752 565064 or email us at email@example.com, or alternatively the organisers can be contacted direct at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We hope to see as many of you there as possible to support a fantastic cause and we wish all the best for Howell and his family.
